Welcome to Illinois State FarmHouse
For over a century, FarmHouse Fraternity has stood out among the crowd of college Greek-Letter social fraternities. Our name has always set us apart.
Since our founding at the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1905, the Central Objective of FarmHouse Fraternity has been:
Building the Whole Man
Intellectually: To sharpen the mind
Spiritually: To provide the opportunity for spiritual growth
Socially/Morally: To develop socially as a gentleman with good moral character
Physically: To enhance physical health and well being
Scholastic Excellence
At FarmHouse, we believe nothing should stand in the way of our education as we strive to create an atmosphere that promotes scholarship. Each member is expected to maintain 3.0 grade point average. Failure to do so will place the member on required study hours for the following semester. Academic excellence is recognized at Farmhouse. Awards are given every semester to the person with the highest GPA, the most improved GPA, and big brother/little brother overall GPA.
Leadership Opportunities
A FarmHouse man is encouraged to become involved with various campus activities to broaden his educational experiences. Our chapter is self-governing and provides many opportunities to take on leadership roles. FarmHouse men develop skills in parliamentary procedure, budget management, public speaking, and communications. Leadership skills learned will help our members in college and throughout life.
